Steven was born in the Bronx, NY and lived in New Rochelle, NY before finally settling in Stamford, CT where he is the owner of Biggs Pool Service Inc.
A long-time fan of Bruce Lee, Steve studied under Grand Master Yong Man Lee in Darien, CT, receiving a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do in 2001 and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Hapkido in 2005.
After expanding his martial arts focus, he was introduced to the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu and studied under Sifu Chung K. Chow for three years. He later switched to the Leung Ting Wing Tzun system where he tested up to 6th Student Grade.
After years of Wing Tzun training, he was still not satisfied; he felt he was still missing the dynamics and the reality of Wing Tzun and he also had many questions that went unanswered. He then met Sifu Zsolt (George) Boka who introduced him to Dai Sifu Emin Boztepe and Grandmaster Rene Latosa under Emin Boztepe Martial Art System (EBMAS). Steven became Sifu George's private student and says, "This is where I finally found my home." Steve truly believes EBMAS NYC's motto: Train like you fight and you will fight like you've trained.
